Pacing is a lightweight production toolkit for iPad. It is designed around slates, cues, prompter scripts, take logs, visual timing, and reference tools. This policy covers the Pacing app and this website.
Local-first production data
Slates, presets, cue text, prompter scripts, drawing notes, take logs, and settings are stored in the app’s local storage as part of normal app use. Pacing does not need a Pacing account to use these features. This does not prevent iPadOS backups or file providers you choose from handling their own copies.
Production files
File access is selected by you through iPadOS. Pacing can import SRT files and export prompter scripts as SRT and take logs as CSV. Exported files contain the content and production details you choose to save. If you choose a cloud folder or share an export, that provider or recipient handles the copy under its own terms.
Network time calibration
Network Time Calibration uses Google Public NTP at time.google.com. It is enabled by default and can be turned off in Pacing Settings. When active, it sends timing requests containing timestamps; it does not send your slates, scripts, notes, drawings, or take logs. Google receives the connection’s public IP address and timing requests. Network availability affects calibration, and Pacing falls back to system time when calibration is unavailable.
Production details and permissions
Pacing stores production details you enter and, when logging is enabled, take timestamps, durations, ratings, and notes. It uses the iPad’s clock, time zone, and display capabilities for timing and reference features. Camera fields are production metadata, not access to your camera. Pacing does not request camera, microphone, photo-library, contacts, or location access.
Diagnostics
Pacing has no built-in analytics or automatic crash-reporting service. Apple may handle device analytics under your system settings and Apple’s policies. If app analytics or crash reporting are added, this policy and the relevant app disclosures will be updated before they are used.
If you choose to send feedback, the email draft includes the Pacing version, build, iPadOS version, and device model. It does not automatically attach your production content. We receive your email address and whatever message or attachments you send, and use them to respond to your request.
Website and external services
This website uses locally served fonts and assets and has no analytics or advertising scripts, forms, or application-set cookies. A web host receives connection and request information, such as your IP address and requested page, when serving the site. Email, Discord, App Store, and file-provider services you choose to use handle information under their own policies.
Personal data
Pacing does not sell personal data.
You can delete slates and prompters, clear drawing notes, or enable automatic log clearing in Settings. Exported copies and device backups are handled separately. For questions about information you have sent to support, contact us below.
